Press Conference Announcement
“Saving more lives and improving the health of women, children and adolescents – a new global strategy for 2030”
On Monday, 14 September, the British Medical Journal is publishing, Towards a new Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s, and Adolescents’ Health, a special supplement written by global health experts, highlighting the critical actions and investments that will have the greatest impact on the health of these populations.
The briefing offers an opportunity for journalists to discuss with key WHO experts issues in women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health and hear an overview of the progress that has been made in 15 years to reduce maternal and child mortality through the Millennium Development Goals.
Hear about the lessons learnt, the new evidence and focus on critical population groups, such as adolescents and women and children living in fragile and conflict settings, and the renewed Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health.
