Erik Solheim has been appointed as the new UNEP Executive Director. During his first visit to Geneva on 30 August, Mr Solheim will present to the accredited journalists his priorities for the UN Environment Programme and the areas he has identified as being critical to address current environmental challenges, such as sustainable cities, oceans, biodiversity, finance and climate and migration.
