The World Climate Research Programme is organizing an Open Science Conference, with more than 1,600 scientists from 70 countries, in Denver, the United States, 24-28 October 2011. It will discuss the latest findings on climate and pressing scientific challenges. These include the causes and consequences of weather and climate extremes; vulnerability of water, agriculture, polar regions and oceans to natural climate variation and climate change, and better climate projection models.
