UNICEF Press Conference

UNICEF’s Humanitarian Action for Children highlights the situation of children living in the most challenging circumstances, outlines the support required to help them survive and thrive, and shows the results UNICEF and its partners have achieved and are working towards. The 2017 appeal also highlights the “silent threat” of malnutrition. It is projected that an estimated 7.5 million children will be severely malnourished in 2017 across the majority of appeal countries, including almost half a million each in northeast Nigeria and Yemen.
