New Permanent Representative of Guinea Presents Credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva
Louncény Condé, the new Permanent Representative of Guinea to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Condé had been posted at the Guinean Embassy in Canada since 2013, starting as a Counsellor and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the Embassy, and concluding as Minister Counsellor and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the Embassy.
Mr. Condé served as Deputy Director General for Africa, Asia and the Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Guineans Abroad in 2013, after serving as Assistant Director in 2011 and 2012. From 2006 to 2011, he was Chief of Section for West and North Africa at the Ministry, and from 2003 to 2006, he was a research manager at the Ministry. He started his career as a professor of geography and history.
Mr. Condé has a Higher Education Diploma in geography from the Gamal Abdel Nasser University (1985-1987) and a degree in social sciences from the Faculty of Social Sciences (1982-1985). He was born on 14 July 1963 in Conakry and is married with four children.
