NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF PANAMA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE AT GENEVA

Aida Maria Clement Guinard, the new Permanent Representative of Panama to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Michael Møller, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to her appointment to Geneva, Ms. Clement Guinard served as Consul General of Panama in Hamburg, Germany, between 2014 and 2018.

She previously worked in the banking sector, as Vice President of Operations at Towerbank International Inc. in Panama (2005 – 2014). She spent 10 years (1995 – 2005) working at Lloyds TSB Bank in various positions, including Interim Deputy General Manager, Project Manager, Compliance Manager, and Coordinator in the loans administration. She also worked at international departments of Banco Río de la Plata, and of Union Bank of Switzerland in Panama.

Born in 1959, Ms. Clement Guinard holds a bachelor degree in business administration from Florida State University, United States, and a degree in banking administration from Santa María la Antigua University, Panama.
