NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF KYRGYZSTAN PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE AT GENEVA

Presentation of Credentials

Daniiar Mukashev, the new Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Michael Møller, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Mukashev had been serving as Director of the Department of International Organizations and Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan since 2013. He was Director of the Western Countries Department at the Ministry from 2012 to 2013, after serving as Deputy Director of the Department from 2011 to 2012 and from 2006 to 2008. Mr. Mukashev served as Counsellor of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan to Belgium from 2008 to 2011. He also served as Second Secretary of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan to the United States and Canada from 2001 to 2004. Mr. Mukashev served as Head of the Western Countries and OSCE Division at the Foreign Ministry from 2005 to 2006, as Second Secretary of the Division in 2005, and as Third Secretary of the Strategic Problems and Information Department at the Foreign Ministry from 1998 to 1999.

Mr. Mukashev has a degree from the Izmir State University, Faculty of International Relations, Turkey (1992 to 1997) and a Master degree from the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry Diplomatic Academy (2007 to 2009). He was born on 1 January 1975 and is married with a son.
