OHCHR Press Conference (Special Rapporteur on Torture)
"Any use of torture-tainted information, even if the torture has been committed by agents of another State, is an act of acquiescence in torture that compromises the user State’s responsibility and leads to individual and State complicity in acts of torture.”
The Special Rapporteur on torture will talk about his annual report to the Human Rights Council on the use of torture-tainted information and the exclusionary rule in judicial proceedings and in relation to acts by executive actors. The expert will also refer to his report on his 2013 mission to Ghana.

In his final report, after a six-year term, the Special Rapporteur says the world’s food systems must be reformed if they are to contribute to realizing the right to adequate food for all. The report calls for alternative, democratically-mandated visions of food systems to be urgently accommodated at the local, national and international levels.
