Press Conference Announcement
Emissions Gap report
The United Nations Environment Programme’s annual Emissions Gap report reveals the temperature rise we are currently headed for by the end of the century compared to pre-industrial times. It also reveals the amount we need to cut emissions by in order to bring the temperature rise down to internationally-agreed levels. Both conditional and non-conditional pledges made by countries under the Paris Agreement are analysed. The report - which is produced together with an international team of leading scientists - furthermore lays out actions that can be taken for reducing emissions in specific sectors.
