NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF SERBIA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG
Presentation of Credentials
Vladislav Mladenovic, the new Permanent Representative of Serbia to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Mladenovic had been serving as Deputy Assistant Minister for Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia since 2010. From December 2012 to June 2013, he was seconded to the Office of the President of Serbia. From June 2006 to 2010, he served as Ambassador of Serbia to Norway. He was Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2004 to 2006.
A career diplomat, Mr. Mladenovic served at the Mission of the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia to the United Nations in New York from 1997 to 2002, first as First Secretary/Counsellor, then as Charge d’affairs and finally as Deputy Permanent Representative and Minister Counsellor. He also served as Third Secretary at the Mission of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia to the United Nations in New York from 1985 to 1989.
Mr. Mladenovic had a degree in economics from the University of Buckingham (1979).
