Press Release

The high-level fissile material cut-off treaty (FMCT) expert preparatory group adopted today its final report, which makes recommendations on substantial elements of a future treaty banning the production of fissile material for nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices.

“I am delighted that the Preparatory Group has reached agreement on a consensus report that lays the groundwork for eventual FMCT negotiations.
