A new report by WHO, UNICEF and the International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN) will reveal how many countries have passed laws in line with the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes. The Code calls on countries to ban inappropriate marketing by companies, such as advertisement of baby formula, provision of gifts to health workers or distribution of free samples. The report will include information on which provisions of the Code have and have not been made into law in 194 countries.
