Aware Migrants is an information campaign based on true stories told by migrants who have made the Mediterranean crossing. The aim of the campaign is not to discourage but to help potential migrants make informed decisions by disseminating some of the actual risks about the journey across the desert and the Mediterranean with a strong focus on the risks faced in Libya. The information campaign is unbranded and uses social media networks as relevant tools to counter smuggling and to ensure outreach in countries of transit and origin.
