On the World No Tobacco Day 2018 (31 May), WHO is focusing on the strong connection between tobacco use as a major cause of cardiovascular diseases, like stroke and heart attack. Release of a new publication, entitled the WHO global report on trends in prevalence of tobacco smoking 2000–2025, which demonstrates progress in tobacco control efforts.
