UN and humanitarian partners will launch the humanitarian strategies and requirements for 2014 (previously known as the CAP – Consolidated Appeals Process) on Monday 16 December in Geneva followed by a press briefing.[ ] The launch includes strategic response plans and requirements covering 17 affected countries, including Syria and the region. The launch is the culmination of a worldwide process in which hundreds of organizations delivering humanitarian aid in crisis-affected regions come together to assess needs and formulate concerted plans and a unified funding request to Member States and donor organizations.
