NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF CZECH REPUBLIC PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE AT GENEVA

Petr Gajdušek, the new Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Gajdušek had been serving as the representative of the Government for international organizations and as Director of the United Nations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic since 2017. From 2015 to 2017, he served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Gajdušek served as Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of International Relations from 2016 to 2018, and as Director of the International and Legislative Section in the Antitrust Agency from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, he worked as a lawyer at the White and Case law firm from 2009 to 2010.

Mr. Gajdušek has a Master of Laws in international law from the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Law (2017-2018), and a Master of Studies in international human rights law from Oxford University (2009 to 2011). He has a Magister from Charles University, Faculty of Law (2002 to 2008), and was awarded a Doctor in Law in 2009. He also has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Charles University, Faculty of Law (2002 to 2006).
