New permanent representative of Djibouti presents credentials to director-general of United Nations Office at Geneva

Presentation of Credentials

Kadra Ahmed Hassan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and the new Permanent Representative of Djibouti to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Michael Møller, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Ms. Ahmed Hassan served at the Permanent Mission of Djibouti to the United Nations in New York from 2007 to 2016, including as Chargée d’affaire a.i. from August 2015 to February 2016.  She worked as a Counsellor at the Direction of Multilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti from 2003 to 2007. She has represented Djibouti in various negotiations and conferences at the regional and international level.   

Ms. Ahmed Hassan was born on 28 April 1973 in Ali Sabieh in Djibouti.  She has a Master 2 degree in international relations, security and defence, specializing in international organizations and non-governmental organizations, from the University Jean Moulin Lyon III (2013-2014), and degrees in political science from the University Montesquieu Bordeaux 4 (1997-1998), and in languages and foreign civilizations from the University Michel Montaigne Bordeaux 3 (1993-1997).
