NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF PANAMA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNITED NATIONS OFFICE AT GENEVA

Presentation of Credentials

Ramon Alberto Morales Quijano, the new Permanent Representative of Panama to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Michael Møller, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Mr. Morales Quijano served as Permanent Representative of Panama to the United Nations in New York from 1999 to 2004. Other Foreign Service posts include serving as Ambassador of Panama to El Salvador from 1967 to 1968; Charge d’Affaires of Panama in Cairo, Egypt from 1964 to 1966; Consul General of Panama in Port Said, Egypt from 1963 to 1967; and Consul General of Panama in Yokohama, Japan from 1960 to 1963. He
has spent a large part of his career working in private companies, insurance companies and banks.

Mr. Morales Quijano was born in Panama and is married. He has received decorations from Panama, Nicaragua and Egypt.
