NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF DOMINICA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO ACTING DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG

Presentation of Credentials

Francine Baron, the new Permanent Representative of Dominica to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Michael Møller, the Acting Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to her appointment to Geneva, Ms. Baron had been serving as High Commissioner of Dominica to the Court of St. James’s in London since 2012. She served as Attorney General of Dominica from 2007 to 2010.

From 2011 to 2012, and from 1996 to 2007, Ms. Baron worked as an Attorney at Law. From 2005 to 2007, she was the President of the Dominica Bar Association, and from 2000 to 2005, she was the Vice President of the Dominican Bar Association.

Ms. Baron has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom (1994). She was born on 18 March, 1972, and has two children.
