NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF ANDORRA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG

Presentation of Credentials

Xavier Espot Miro, the new Permanent Representative of Andorra to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Sergei Ordzhonikidze, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Mr. Espot Miro has served as Ambassador of Andorra to France from 1994 to 1995, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Andorra from 1992 to 1993, and a member of Parliament of Andorra from 1989 to 1992. He has spent most of his career running his family business from 1984 to 2007.

He has a graduate degree in law from the University of Barcelona and is working on a Ph.D. at the same University on “law in a global society”.

Born on 14 February 1953 in Escaldes-Endordany, Mr. Espot Miro is married with two children.
