NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UNITED STATES PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG

Presentation of Credentials

Warren W. Tichenor, the new Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Sergei Ordzhonikidze, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Ambassador Tichenor had been serving as President of a private investment firm. He previously served as an advisor to President Bush’s 2000 campaign as Director of the Hispanic Campaign.

Ambassador Tichenor was born in Harlingen in Texas in 1960. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Southern California. He is married with a son.
