Expert briefing: The global compact on refugees. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees has proposed a new global compact on refugees which aims to strengthen the global response to new and existing refugee situations. The full UN General Assembly is expected to consider and validate the refugee compact on the morning of 17 December in New York.
