New Permanent Representative of Argentina Presents Credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva

Presentation of Credentials

Carlos Mario Foradori, the new Permanent Representative of Argentina to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Mr. Foradori served as Permanent Representative of Argentina to the United Nations Office at Geneva from 2018 to 2020.  Before that, he served as Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina and G-20 Sherpa. He has served as Ambassador of Argentina to Zimbabwe and to Guatemala, and also spent many years as Political Counselor at the Embassy of Argentina in Washington, United States.

Other posts Mr. Foradori has held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina include Director of the Department of Federal and Electoral Affairs, Director General of Foreign Trade Strategies, Chief of Cabinet of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations, and member of Cabinet of the Vice-Minister.

Mr. Foradori has lectured at the University of Salvador in Buenos Aires and the University of Buenos Aires.  He received a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science from the University of Salvador, where he also completed a master’s degree in international relations.  He also completed master’s degrees in public administration at Harvard University and in international public policy at Johns Hopkins University.  He further has a postgraduate degree on negotiation and international conflict resolution from Temple University.
