New Permanent Representative of Peru Presents Credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva
Luis Chuquihuara Chil, the new Permanent Representative of Peru to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Chuquihuara Chil has served as Permanent Representative of Peru to the Organization of American States; Permanent Representative of Peru to the European Union; Ambassador of Peru to Belgium, Luxembourg El Salvador, Belize, Switzerland and Liechtenstein; Consul General of Peru in London; Consul General of Peru in Chicago; resident Representative of Peru to the World Economic Forum; and resident Representative of Peru to the Central American Integration System.
Mr. Chuquihuara Chil has also served as Assistant Secretary-General and then Secretary-General of the Presidency of Peru; Presidential Advisor on external management of the State; and Head of the Cabinet of Advisors to the Presidency of the judiciary and his representative to the national agreement.
Mr. Chuquihuara Chil has post graduate degrees in public management from the International Institute of Public Administration in France and in political science from the Institute of Political Studies in Paris. He also has a degree in international relations from the Diplomatic Academy of Peru and attended legal training at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
