NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF SERBIA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE AT GENEVA

Dejan Zlatanović, the new Permanent Representative of Serbia to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Michael Møller, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Zlatanović had been serving as Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia since the end of 2016. He had been working in the Office of the Minister since 2014.

A career diplomat who joined the diplomatic service in 1996, Mr. Zlatanović served as First Counsellor and Deputy Ambassador at the Serbian Embassy in Vienna, Austria from 2010 to 2012; as Consul at the Consulate General of Serbia in Hamburg, Germany from 2004 to 2008; and as Attaché and Third Secretary at the Serbian Embassy in Bonn, Germany from 1998 to 2002.

Mr. Zlatanović has a degree from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade (1989 to 1994). He was born in Zemun in Serbia on 3 May 1970. He is married with two daughters.
