NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF NICARAGUA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG

Presentation of Credentials

Hernan Estrada Roman, the new Permanent Representative of Nicaragua to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Michael Møller, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Estrada Roman had been serving since 2013 as the Permanent Representative of Nicaragua to the United Nations Office at Vienna, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and the International Atomic Energy Agency. He served as First Secretary at the Embassy of Nicaragua in Austria in 2012-2013, and as Third Secretary at the Consulate of Nicaragua in Austria in 2010-2012.

Mr. Estrada Roman is an alumni of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna in international studies, and holds an Engineer’s Degree from the Central University of Nicaragua in System Engineering.
