NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF QATAR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

Presentation of Credentials

Faisal bin Abdulla Al-Henzab, the new Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Michael Møller, the Acting Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Al-Henzab had been serving as Consul General of Qatar in Los Angeles, California, from 2013 to 2014. He served as Consul General of Qatar in Houston, Texas from 2012 to 2013. He worked at the Office of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs from 2010 to 2011.

A career diplomat, Mr. Al-Henzab worked at the Permanent Mission of Qatar to the United Nations in Geneva from 2007 to 2010, and at the Permanent Mission of Qatar to the United Nations in New York from 2001 to 2007. He has represented his country in several regional and international conferences.

Born on 28 January, 1975, Mr. Al-Henzab has a Bachelor of Laws from Beirut University, Lebanon (2000). He is married with four children.
