DIRECTOR-GENERAL HOLDS VIDEO CONFERENCE WITH STUDENTS FROM MGIMO

Today, the Director-General held a video conference with students from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). The Director-General, an alumni of the Institute, emphasized the importance of engagement of young people in the work of the United Nations and encouraged the students to actively participate in building a better world. He also highlighted the International Year of Youth, ending in August 2011, which aims to encourage dialogue and understanding across generations, cultures, religions and civilizations.
